"A child is mysterious and powerful and contains within himself the secret of human nature."

- Dr. Maria Montessori

Learning that stimulates your child's five senses

Perfecting skills necessary for independence and academic success

The practical life area is one of the most important and utilized learning areas in the classroom at the Countryside Montessori Center. It allows your child to perfect his or her coordination, independence, concentration and organizational skills necessary for other academic areas.

Awakening and strengthening your child's senses

The sensorial learning area invites your child to actively develop his or her five senses but helping them to distinguish, categorize and relate new information to what they already know.

Piquing your child's interest in mathematics

The math learning area is designed to use concrete materials to represent all types of quantities to engage your child in the basic operations of mathematics-- combining, separating, sharing, counting and comparing. He or she will come to enjoy math through touching and moving items as he or she enumerates them.

The purposeful environment at the Countryside Montessori Center fosters enthusiasm, creativity and understanding through learning that will stimulate and captivate your little learner.

Developing your child's language acquisition skills

Engaging you child in the language learning area is crucial at his or her age. While traditional language development only uses two of the five senses, language activities at the Countryside Montessori Center engage three of the senses, teaching your son or daughter phonetic sounds through touch as well as sight and sound.

Beyond the traditional classroom

Your child's engagement will soar in additional subjects as well such as science, geography, introductory cooking, Spanish and sign language.

Our entire curriculum is taught in the hands on approach that will give your child the independence to self-teach and make new discoveries every day that they would not be able to in the traditional classroom.
